Soft skills, which are especially important for work and career, are also called business skills. The grades on the report card indicate whether a candidate&#8217;s strengths lie in mathematics, German or chemistry. While a cover letter can already tell you if a candidate is creative<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and the interview can also show whether the candidate is more introverted or extroverted. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">or extroverted, but many soft skills are difficult to find out from an interview alone, because hardly anyone would say about themselves that they are not a team player or not <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">r<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">esilient<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Therefore, it is usually worthwhile for companies <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">closer look at the resume. Even though many candidates and companies<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Hobbies or voluntary activities may not seem necessary on a CV at first glance, but they can provide important information about soft skills. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Does the candidate play a team sport? <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Then<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> probably a team player. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Is he perhaps even a captain? <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Then he is used to taking responsibility <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and a strong leader. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Does he play an instrument? <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Then he is more likely to be a creative candidate. <\/span> <span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Some companies want to know exactly and find out which skills<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">what skills their candidates bring with them. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Possible tools for this are psychological tests and assessment centers. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Depending on the company <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and position, the assessment <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Center can be structured quite differently. From simple mental arithmetic tasks to <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the processing of case studies <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">alone or in a team, everything is conceivable. Both hard and soft skills can be tested. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A new recruiting trend in this context is the so-called <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Gamification<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Instead of monotonous selection procedures, recruiters rely on a playful modern assessment center, which is based on video games. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">However, this<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">still a marginal phenomenon<\/span>.<span data-contrast=\"auto\"> <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">L<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ccording to Tim Weitzel, Professor of Information Systems at the University of Bamberg<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> 2.5 % of the top 1,000 companies currently offer such <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">recruitment<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> games<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> &#8211; and the trend is rising. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A positive side effect: not only are different skills tested, but depending on the situation, an insight into the company can also be provided<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and promote your own company. <\/span> <span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Psychological tests are also <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are now widespread in application procedures<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Behind it follows<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the DISG model, which identifies four personality types, each of which is<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">assigned a specific color.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">How meaningful such tests are, however, is still disputed today. <\/span> <span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">However<\/span>, <span data-contrast=\"auto\">it should be noted<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">that<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">for both the company<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">and the candidate<\/span>, <span data-contrast=\"auto\">the assessment center<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">means<\/span> a lot of effort.<span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Therefore, it should be carefully considered in advance if<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">an<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">extensive<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">assessment center for the<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">advertised position is really necessary or if perhaps a<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">smaller<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">task is enough<\/span>, <span data-contrast=\"auto\">for example to test the creativity.<\/span> <span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Which skills are more important? <\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Both hard skills and soft skills have their importance.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">importance<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">however <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">however, it cannot be said that one of the two is more important. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The skills an employee must have depend heavily on the position and the corporate culture<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Companies and recruiters should therefore carefully consider which skills are<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> important for a job profile to be filled<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> are<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> what should be paid attention to.
